CORTIS unveiled an intense teaser video a day before the release of their new song "REDRED," heightening comeback excitement to a peak.
CORTIS posted the music video teaser for the mini album 2 title track "REDRED" on its official social media on the 18th. The released video features an addictive rhythm blended with rough, coarse electronic sounds that instantly grabs the ear. In particular, samgyeopsal restaurants as a backdrop feature members wearing floral aprons and red-hot charcoal briquettes, familiar and distinctly Korean objects that provoke curiosity about the story of the full music video.
All members participated jointly in creating the new song, deeply infusing it with CORTIS's musical color. "REDRED," born from a song camp in Los Angeles, U.S., characterizes the team's intended values as "GREEN" and the boundaries they warn against as "RED," expressed through distinctive, personality-filled lyrics. Its experimental sound and performances that maximize a "raw" charm are expected to be the highlights of this promotion.
CORTIS's title track "REDRED" audio and the full music video will be released at 6 p.m. on the 20th. Then at 8 p.m., they will hold a release party at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, and present the new song's stage to fans for the first time. Meanwhile, the mini album 2 "GREENGREEN" is scheduled for official release on May 4.
"REDRED" is a song co-created by the five members, with all members credited for the work. They made the new release by holding a song camp in Los Angeles, U.S., as they did at debut. In this process, they repeatedly experimented to realize the most CORTIS-like "raw" sound.
