The group Cravity (CRAVITY) has signaled a new leap and officially begun the comeback countdown.
Agency Starship Entertainment recently unveiled the first concept image, the "Re (Ri)" version, of Cravity's upcoming mini album 8, ReDeFINE, which will be released on the 29th, through the team's official channels.
In the opened teaser, the members are showing off their popping personalities against bold monochrome backgrounds. Accented with sparkling glitter and unique accessories, they stole the spotlight with playful, ecstatic smiles. In the group photo set against a purple shade mixing the individual cut background colors of red and blue, they all hugged a cake prop and radiated free-spirited energy. Through poses unbound by conventions, they revealed Cravity's distinctive close teamwork and hinted at the meaning of commemoration and celebration.
The collage-style photos released together also left a strong impression with their tasteful staging. The members uniquely represented the form of a snake by using objects such as long neckties and threads or through flexible body movements. Along with the text "I Will ReDeFINE," key words such as "Re-birth (rebirth)," "Re-storation (restoration)," and "Re-newal (new beginning)" were placed throughout, suggesting the firm resolve embodied by the new release.
Earlier, Cravity previewed a narrative of disappearance and birth and eternity with a fairytale-like story film; through this mini album 8, ReDeFINE, they show a distinct self that does not settle for existing limits and constantly redefines its identity. The title track "AWAKE" also contains a narrative in which a cliff-edge moment once thought to be the end becomes the key to a new beginning, and after fierce upheaval one faces a truer, deeper self.
On the 14th, Cravity marked a meaningful milestone celebrating their sixth anniversary since debut and looked back on their brilliant footsteps with fans; the music industry is now watching to see what further evolved musical world they will present with this album.
Meanwhile, Cravity's mini album 8, ReDeFINE, will be released simultaneously on major music platforms worldwide at 6 p.m. on the 29th.
