Actor Moon Hee-kyung showed an unrivaled ability to inhabit a character.
Moon Hee-kyung is playing Eun Su-jeong, the doting wife of Go Dae-chi (played by Yoon Da-hoon) and the mother of Go Gyeol (played by Yoon Jong-hoon) and Go Min-ho (played by Jung Yoon) in the KBS 1TV daily drama "Gippeun Woori Joeun Nal" (directed by Lee Jae-sang, written by Nam Sun-hye).
Moon Hee-kyung not only dons the glamorous styling befitting a wealthy matron in the drama, but also naturally blends into the character, driving the show's entertainment. In particular, she amplifies the charm of the somewhat clumsy Eun Su-jeong with her signature playful acting, effectively boosting the show's appeal.
Eun Su-jeong shows the endearing incompetence of a cute "desire character" who holds back her words to secure the shares that her father-in-law, Go Kang-soo (played by Lee Ho-jae), the chairman of Kangsoo Group, will leave behind, while subtly watching the reactions of her mother-in-law Lee Young-hwa (played by Jung Young-sook). Moon Hee-kyung enriched the drama's narrative by portraying a daughter-in-law who is annoying but never truly hateable.
In particular, true to a character tightly bound by extraordinary love for her husband Go Dae-chi and her biological son Go Min-ho, Eun Su-jeong foreshadowed conflict in the drama. Additionally, the fiery rivalry between Eun Su-jeong and Kang Yeon-ja (played by Kim Hye-ok) provided another point of interest. The power struggle over the center position in the line dance studio escalated into a pride battle mixed with parental boasting, promising exciting developments ahead. Feeling competitive, Eun Su-jeong tried to humble Kang Yeon-ja by citing her own academic background, but received the counterattack "You ask for someone's year of admission out of the blue? Don't you know that's rude?" and quietly huffed, creating laughter. As the antagonistic relationship between Eun Su-jeong and Kang Yeon-ja deepens and their children's relationships layer on top, anticipation is growing for how the story will further heighten engagement.
Thus, Moon Hee-kyung has become "Eun Su-jeong herself" and is leading the success of "Gippeun Woori Joeun Nal."
