Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon talked about the advantages of living in the dorm.
On the 17th, a video titled "What happens when people with the same MBTI meet: ISTP new member Hyoyeon vs. ISTP senior Myung Soo's mirror match" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Hal Myung Soo'.
Earlier, Hyoyeon appeared on Chef & My Fridge and attracted attention by revealing that she is living alone in the dorm after the other members all left. Revealing the ingredients in the dorm refrigerator, she disclosed side dishes made by the aunt who has been with her since childhood.
That day Hyoyeon said, "I have lived in the dorm a long time. But I still live in the dorm," which surprised Park Myung Soo. When asked why, Hyoyeon answered, "How great is it to have a comfortable place to rest and tasty meals all provided?" Then when Park Myung Soo said, "You must be saving a lot," she said, "I think saving is the only way to live."
When asked how many years she has lived in the dorm, Hyoyeon said, "Next year it will be 20 years." Park Myung Soo admired, "This should be in the articles. I think it will go down in Korean history."
Then Hyoyeon asked, "Why should I leave?" Park Myung Soo found it surprising, saying, "Normally you would live independently and make your own space, but this is the first time I've heard someone still living in the dorm."
Hyoyeon explained, "I remember when I first signed with SM; we are like a second mother. We will take good care of you. So please take good care of me; I plan to keep staying there."
However, she said she sometimes feels self-conscious when she has no income. Hyoyeon said, "Sometimes when there is no income I feel self-conscious, like 'Do I deserve to be here?' " but added, "But SM always applauds and unconditionally supports people who work hard."
Park Myung Soo said, "I was also in SM's first generation," and confessed, "They didn't support me at all. They tried to get me to sign a contract. They gave me an advance. Suddenly HOT took off. Then they began to ignore me. Neglect and automatic contract termination," which drew laughter.
