Problem Child in House cast member Yang Se-chan mentioned his mother's cesarean section scar.
On the 16th broadcast of KBS 2TV Problem Child in House (hereinafter "Problem Child in House"), obstetricians Kim Ji-yeon and Chu Seong-il appeared and discussed various myths.
Yang Se-chan, who said he was born by cesarean section, asked about myths related to cesarean sections that day. He confessed, "My mother says that if you get into trouble with my older brother (Yang Se-hyung), she'll open her stomach."
Yang Se-chan's mother has a cross-shaped surgical scar and said, "This is you, and this is you. Mom gave birth to you with so much difficulty!" Yang Se-chan said, "I've always been very curious. It's painful to look at. She says, 'Seeing this, you all need to get your act together.'"
Yang Se-chan then wondered whether it is true that after delivering by cesarean section, one must give birth by cesarean section again.
Kim Ji-yeon explained, "If the first delivery involved a vertical incision, the second must be a cesarean section. How the uterus was opened is important, and if it was opened vertically, the uterus may have been opened that way. If you attempt a vaginal birth, the risk of uterine rupture is high."
She added, "When an incision was made horizontally, vaginal delivery may be possible, but because the risk of uterine rupture increases, it is safer to perform a cesarean for the second birth."
