Park Sung-woong and Lee Seo-Hwan grabbed each other by the collar after a war of nerves.
On the 16th aired episode of the KBS 2TV mini-series "Shim Woo-myeon Yeonriri" (directed by Choi Yeon-soo, written by Song Jeong-rim and Wang Hye-ji) episode 4, Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) and Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-Hwan) clashed fiercely, grabbing each other by the collar, while their children Seong Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jinwoo) and Im Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyu-ri) reached a turning point in their relationship with an exciting kiss.
That day Seong Tae-hoon was shocked to learn that his eldest son Seong Ji-cheon had dropped out of medical school due to trauma from a medical accident. Tae-hoon, who had hidden this fact even from his wife Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung), reflected on his past and tried to get closer to his three sons. Tae-hoon approached them unable to hide his awkwardness, and the three sons reacted with unfamiliarity toward their father, creating a contrast.
While Seong Tae-hoon was suffering over his children, even the cabbages he had to submit to the company began to overgrow. To make matters worse, village chief Im Joo-hyung discovered Tae-hoon preparing seedlings to send to the company "Mat Story," with which he had shown hostility, and exploded in anger. But soon moved by Tae-hoon's sincere words "I can endure hardship, but not for my family. I will endure and return no matter what. To my position," Im Joo-hyung pretended not to notice him and watched him, adding warmth.
At the same time, Im Joo-hyung's past, in which he had been betrayed after trusting and supplying agricultural products to "Mat Story," was revealed, adding curiosity about the stories of wounds held by Yeonriri residents.
Meanwhile, Seong Ji-cheon refused to yield to Tae-hoon's persuasion to return to medical school. As the father-son conflict deepened, Tae-hoon, who went to Seoul to deliver cabbages, happened to see a call on his boss Director Choi's (played by Min Seong-wook) cellphone from the name "Yeonriri." That prompted him to start questioning the company's suspicious actions.
Meanwhile, Seong Ji-cheon opened his heart to Im Bo-mi, who had grown close while working together. Im Bo-mi also nurtured feelings for Seong Ji-cheon amid sleepless excitement. Seong Ji-cheon expressed his gratitude, saying, "When I'm next to Ms. Bo-mi, even difficult problems seem to become simple, which I like," and the two's deepening romance brought excitement. Tae-hoon also soothed Seong Ji-cheon's wounds with "You must have suffered a lot. I thought you were okay because you always grew up taking care of things on your own. You must have endured a lot to meet your parents' expectations," leaving a deep impression.
At the end of the broadcast, Seong Tae-hoon and Im Joo-hyung, who had continued a tense war of nerves, ultimately fought physically, and at the same time Seong Ji-cheon and Im Bo-mi confirmed their feelings with a kiss, presenting an ending with polar developments.
