Broadcaster Kim Gu Ra revealed his youngest second daughter on air for the first time.
On the 16th episode of tvN STORY "Childcare Intern," Kim Gu Ra appeared to offer support for Lee Kyung-kyu, who was caring for 5-year-old Seojin and 9-month-old Seohyun.
That day Kim Gu Ra emphasized that he is an "active dad" raising a 6-year-old late-born daughter and scolded Lee Kyung-kyu. In particular, regarding a crying child, he said, "Of course a child will cry when they see a stranger," showing his adept fatherly manner.
Seeing this, Lee Kyung-kyu asked, "Your daughter is 6 now, right?" and Kim Gu Ra replied, "Yes. She is one year older than this child." Kim Gu Ra immediately took out his phone and video-called his wife.
When his wife answered the call, she asked, "Where is Soohyun?" looking for her youngest daughter, and the daughter appeared in a princess dress holding a magic wand, attracting attention. Kim Gu Ra called, "Soohyun," and also showed the child who was being cared for.
Asking, "How is the younger sibling?" Kim Gu Ra guided the conversation with the child by saying, "She's your older sister. Say hi to your older sister," and after finishing boasting about his daughter, he awkwardly said, "If you show her like this once in a while, time will pass," drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, Kim Gu Ra divorced his ex-wife by mutual agreement after 18 years of marriage in 2015 amid a dispute over debt, and remarried in 2020 to a non-celebrity woman 12 years his junior. In September 2021 he announced the birth of a daughter, and his eldest son Kim Dong-hyun gained a sister 23 years younger than him.
