Actor Christina Applegate has been hospitalized.
On the 16th (local time), U.S. entertainment outlet TMZ reported that Applegate was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles at the end of March. It has not been confirmed whether this hospitalization is directly related to the multiple sclerosis she suffers from.
Applegate's side said, "We cannot comment on whether she was hospitalized or on her treatment situation." However, they added, "She has long suffered from complex health problems and has honestly shared them through a memoir and podcasts."
Applegate publicly revealed in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and has been fighting the disease. Since then she has steadily informed fans about her condition and communicated with them. In a recent interview she particularly confessed that she spends most of her time in bed due to severe pain, eliciting sympathy.
She also said she tries to maintain daily life for her 15-year-old daughter Sadie. Applegate confessed, "The time I take my daughter to school is the most precious. I bring her safely and then come home and lie back in bed."
