Group Stray Kids (Stray Kids) added another first for 4th-generation boy bands. Their song Chk Chk Boom earned a single gold certification from the French recorded music association (SNEP).
The French recorded music association said on its official website that Stray Kids' title track Chk Chk Boom from the mini album "8eight," released on Jul. 19, 2024, achieved 15 million streams in France and was awarded a single gold certification. Founded in 1922, the French recorded music association grants certifications based on album and single sales, streaming and download equivalent figures
With this, Stray Kids achieved their first single gold certification, became the first 4th-generation boy group to do so, and recorded the second achievement among K-pop boy groups, marking a meaningful accomplishment.
Earlier, Stray Kids received four album gold certifications after the full-length album ★★★★★ (5-STAR) (Five-Star), the mini album 樂-STAR (Rock-Star), ATE, and SKZHOP HIPTAPE "合 (HOP)" each recorded album sales of more than 50,000 units.
