Global K-pop fandom is once again heating up. The global standard K-pop chart 'KM Chart (케이엠차트)' unveiled the nominees for the April 2026 monthly chart by institutional sector, heralding the start of a full-scale 'voting war.'
KM Chart plans to hold 'KMA (KM Chart Awards) 2026' on July 25 at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium and open a festival with the top artists who shone in the first half of the year.
Voting for the six institutional sector categories of the April monthly chart will be held through the 24th. The nominee list features numerous top-tier artists who have achieved both musicality and popularity.
First, the eye-catching K-MUSIC (digital single) sector is truly a 'war of the stars.' Leading the list is BTS's 'SWIM,' followed by IVE's 'BANG BANG,' Lim Young-woong's 'Like the Moment Is Forever,' Le Chanwon's 'Somehow Today,' AKMU's 'Joy, Sorrow, Beautiful Heart' and a total of 50 songs made the nominees. Powerhouses across genres of digital singles face off, and the results of the heated voting are eagerly anticipated.
The K-MUSIC ARTIST (artist) sector is also the height of glamour. Thirty acts currently leading the K-pop scene, including Blackpink, Stray Kids, aespa, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ZEROBASEONE and PLAVE, have earned spots, and are expected to demonstrate the power of global fandoms.
The hot choice (popularity) sector, which reflects fans' passionate support, is also intense. In the male sector, 30 acts including BTS members (V·Jungkook·Jimin·Jin), Seventeen and Kang Daniel, and in the female sector, 30 acts including LE SSERAFIM, IVE, TWICE and Dreamcatcher will clash, promising a close contest.
The ROOKIE (new artist) sector, which will carry the future of the music industry, is also a watch point. In the male sector, 10 acts including CORTIS, idntt and AHOF, and in the female sector, 10 acts including KiiiKiii, HADES and AtHeart are nominated, aiming for the honor of the once-in-a-lifetime rookie award.
Voting for the KM Chart April monthly chart can be participated in through the applications 'MyOnePick' and 'Idol Champ,' and the vote results will be combined with the judging panel's evaluation and KM Chart data scores for the final announcement. In particular, this year it has expanded its influence further by signing a strategic business agreement with KT ENA.
