Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan's stepmother, Kate Lohan, was arrested on charges of assaulting her ex-husband, Michael Lohan, shocking the public.
On the 15th (local time), U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six reported that Kate Lohan was arrested on the 14th in Harris County, Texas, on charges of assaulting a family member. According to court documents, she was set a $35,000 bail (about 47 million won) and is being held in custody.
The incident occurred while the two were meeting to exchange custody of their children. At the time, Kate was reportedly sensitive after waking up, and the argument escalated into severe violence after a dispute.
According to local sources, Kate swung a fist at Michael, causing his nose to bleed, and then moved to the kitchen and even threw a knife. Fortunately, the knife struck Michael's body and bounced off, and it did not result in a serious injury.
Police who responded to the report arrested Kate at the scene, and it was confirmed that she was intoxicated at the time. The court ordered Kate to undergo mandatory alcohol testing and issued a protective order prohibiting contact with Michael. The two have sons Landon and Logan.
This is not Kate's first assault allegation. She was previously convicted in 2024 of assaulting a family member. Conversely, Michael was also arrested last year on allegations of assaulting Kate, and the two have repeated years of conflict and legal disputes.
