The group DKZ will disband seven years after their debut.
DKZ's agency Dongyo Entertainment announced the disbandment on the 15th via its official social media, saying, "After sufficient discussion with the members, the company has agreed to conclude group activities with the schedule set through May 31, 2026."
The agency said, "Over the past seven years, Jaechan and Juwon, who led the team more brightly than anyone, and Sehyun, Mingyu, and Giseok, who joined in 2022 and became a reliable force, we deeply thank the members who have walked with the company for their precious efforts and time," adding, "We also once again express our gratitude to the Dongari who accompanied that brilliant journey."
It added, "Sehyun, Mingyu, Jaechan, Juwon and Giseok will meet fans through individual activities starting in June 2026. Jaechan and Juwon, who have completed contract renewals with the company, will continue to be active in various fields, and Sehyun, Mingyu and Giseok will also move forward as artists under the company."
Finally, the agency said, "We will continue to provide full support for the activities of the five members," and asked for continued love and support for Sehyun, Mingyu, Jaechan, Juwon and Giseok, who will still shine in their respective places.
Meanwhile, DKZ, who debuted on April 24, 2019, actively promoted songs such as "CRAZY NIGHT (Bad calf with a horn on its butt)," "Cupid (Love Thief)," "Uh-Heung (A tiger is coming after me)," and "Like a Movie." Before disbanding, DKZ held a fan concert, "2026 DKZ FAN-CON 'THE DINNER'," and met fans at Samsung Hall in the ECC building at Ewha Womans University in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on the 11th and 12th.
