Actor Kim Seora opened up about her life in the United States and shared her life story.
On the 15th, the YouTube channel "Jjin Actresses" posted a video titled "Back then that "Mayumi" Kim Seora wassyeoyeom." The video showed Kim Seora meeting with actors Lee Kyung-jin, Ahn So-young and Kim Young-ran, sharing a meal and having various conversations.
That day Kim Seora looked back on her acting career that began in childhood. She said, "I worked as an advertising model since I was seven, and I started KBS dramas when I was a college freshman," and added, "When I got married, I experienced having a private life for the first time, and while running a skin care school I tried work other than acting for the first time." She drew attention by saying she ran a skin care school in Hawaii for about 10 years.
She also shared her honest thoughts about marriage. Kim Seora said, "When I married, I made it a condition that I could work. I asked that if I wanted to work I be allowed to do so at any time," and noted, "Before that there were many conditions like 'you cannot work,' so I was afraid of marriage." She added the background of marrying someone she met abroad.
After giving birth to two children, there was a moment when she considered giving up acting. She said, "Seeing the children only looking at me made me think, 'What kind of acting is this?'" and recalled, "I felt that raising the children well and running the school well were more important."
But an unexpected opportunity came. Kim Seora said, "The day after I thought I should quit acting, I received an offer from an American drama that was filming in Hawaii," and added, "After that, offers continued in Korea," surprising listeners.
Meanwhile, Kim Seora debuted in the 1989 film "Mayumi," and thereafter appeared in various works that raised her profile. In particular, she earned recognition playing the mother role to handsome and beautiful actors such as Kim Tae-hee and Gong Yoo.
