On the April 14 broadcast of TV CHOSUN's 'Joseon's romancer,' Shim Kwon-ho's recent condition after liver cancer surgery and a healing trip to Jeju Island with Yoon Jungsoo·Choi Hong-man were portrayed.
Shim Kwon-ho, who had been fighting liver cancer, received treatment after the production team's persuasion and regained his health. Asked about the woman who gave him red ginseng, the so-called "red ginseng woman," Shim Kwon-ho, who went on the healing trip with Yoon Jungsoo and Choi Hong-man, blushed and said he could not contact her, and following advice from Yoon Jungsoo and Choi Hong-man he sent a text saying he would send her omekki rice cakes.
Shim Kwon-ho said the "red ginseng woman" had come to his house for about two months and that they occasionally spoke on the phone. Shim Kwon-ho is originally a strong person but had been somewhat withdrawn; through treatment he regained his health, and by showing a peculiar chemistry with someone who stayed by his side when he was sick he seems to have gained confidence. The red ginseng woman will appear on next week's broadcast, and from watching her beside him it doesn't seem Shim Kwon-ho treats the relationship lightly."
He added, "I thought it would be difficult for Shim Kwon-ho to escape lifelong singlehood, but we didn't set him up on blind dates or anything like that. Because they supported each other during a difficult time, I think the possibility of breaking his lifelong singlehood is more than 50%."
With the appearance of the "red ginseng woman" on next week's broadcast, expectations are rising that Shim Kwon-ho is likely to break his lifelong singlehood.
