Singer and actor IU drew attention with a bold performance.
On the 14th, a video titled [IU TV] I still want more (status) | Perfect Crown behind the scenes was posted on the YouTube channel "Now."
The video captured the set of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown, in which IU appears. In the drama, IU plays Seong Hee-ju, a gambler who spares no means or method to achieve her goals, presenting a powerful character.
That day IU drew attention as she sat crooked with her bare feet on the desk and filmed a scene where she takes a phone call. In particular, she naturally delivered the confident line "Is it that hard to have my level of ability, my level of wealth, my level of beauty?" and showed herself fully immersed in the character.
After filming she immediately returned to her usual self. IU apologized, saying, "Is my posture too disrespectful now? I'm sorry," and joked, "You shouldn't see IU on TV with her feet on the desk like this, but please understand because it's Hee-ju," drawing laughter.
IU described Seong Hee-ju's personality with three words—"tsk, ha, huh?"—and admitted, "Her personality is really a wreck. It was hard at first, but once I acted, it was oddly fun."
Meanwhile, Perfect Crown, in which IU appears, has been drawing attention since the start of its broadcast with high viewership ratings and strong topicality.
