Actor Yoon Eun-hye candidly shared her story as an actor.
On the 14th, Yoon Eun-hye uploaded a video to her channel titled "Ep 7. Everything ends! (Declining college drinking invitations, making middle school friends, career anxiety etc.) | Yoon Eun-hye's sleepless night."
In that broadcast, Yoon Eun-hye said she entered a performing arts high school as a classical piano major, but there were so many outstanding classmates that her self-esteem began to drop, and she received a letter from someone worried that they felt they were losing their goals.
In response, Yoon Eun-hye expressed strong professional empathy, saying, "I also have a job where I am evaluated... I have been in that kind of evaluated work for 30 years," she began. She then frankly confessed, "So I always had a depression about that. That's why my self-esteem is still very low."
But she added, "But I like this work. I feel frustration, disappointment, failure and sadness, but I still tend to really like this work," expressing affection for her profession, and said, "Sometimes when it's too hard I don't want to do anything; of course I have thought about it several times. Even so, I think I enjoy my work and am good at it. It's not something I force myself to do."
Another letter writer said they joined a club as the sound person but, because they had always been interested in acting, they wondered whether their temperament would allow them to do it well.
To that, Yoon Eun-hye said, "When I filmed '궁' I expressed my most over-the-top selves when I was with my closest people. I think I expressed the most excitement and things like that by imagining and thinking about them," and added, "I watched it not long ago and it was cute. I'm not like that now. That version of me then was also me," reflecting on the past.
