On the 15th broadcast of TV CHOSUN's "Dad and I," Her Chanmi, the finalist of "Miss Trot 4," appeared, Her Chanmi, who debuted as a member of the Five Dolls idol group in 2011. Everyone said "the fundamentals are solid."
She continued to reveal Her Chanmi's daily life. In her 17th year since debut, she said "I am the never-give-up trot resilient one," six years ago she challenged "Miss Trot 2," boldly showed her skills but received criticism for unfortunate song choices and recorded poor results, and ultimately failed to advance to the top seven.
And last year Her Chanmi re-challenged in "Miss Trot 4." She changed to a trot singing style and retook the stage, and watching the stage everyone said "you can feel how much she worked" and were surprised at the changed vocal style, admiring the resilient figure who never gave up. And she was proudly one of the finalists in "Miss Trot 4."
She then revealed Her Chanmi's house, which became a pride of Namyangju City. Her Chanmi's father woke his daughter personally, and Her Chanmi, awakened from sleep, got up. She then revealed her bare face for the first time; with a gentle face everyone said "she looks young, like a baby," expressing admiration, and contrary to earlier claims that fans could not recognize her without makeup, her unembarrassed bare face drew attention.
Notably, Her Chanmi was known to have been an SM trainee at age 14. She was known as part of the debut lineup for Girls' Generation. Her Chanmi spent six years as a trainee. But even after enduring a long time, a debut opportunity did not come. Her father recalled, "I only hoped my daughter would do well; I wanted our daughter to become a singer soon."
Her father waited for his daughter's debut. Finally, in 2010 Her Chanmi debuted with Namnyeo Gonghak, debuting as a 10-member mixed idol group after six years. However, activities were suspended just two months after debut. Afterwards Her Chanmi resumed activities with the Five Dolls in 2011 but was demoted back to trainee due to the short trainee period and withdrew after one year. Her Chanmi said, "The CEO told me to practice more."
Her Chanmi said tearfully, "My parents suffered a lot by my side," and her parents shocked viewers by saying, "Chanmi became discouraged several times amid those harsh ordeals and trials and tried to give up life because of malicious comments." Her parents said they wanted her to stop when they saw their hurt daughter. Her father said, "Still, our struggling daughter said, 'I must succeed for my mom and dad,' so I told her to make her dreams come true." That was the family that silently supported and cheered for Her Chanmi from behind.
