Singer and actor IU explained why she attends colleagues' concerts using her own money rather than invitation tickets.
On the 14th, the web variety show "Salon Drip" featured IU, Byeon Woo-seok, Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung-yeon, who appear in the drama "Perfect Crown," talking together.
When IU's attendance at a TWICE concert was mentioned that day, IU said, "I went because I like TWICE so much. Jeongyeon sent a DM but I didn't check it. Seung-yeon told me about it on set, so I belatedly thanked her," she said.
Gong Seung-yeon added, "My younger sibling said they wanted to invite her to the concert and sent a DM, so I said, 'Would she check your DM? She must get a lot of messages.'"
Also, Jang Do-youn asked, "Even if she receives invitation tickets, I heard IU always pays out of pocket to watch performances," and IU explained, "As someone who also performs, watching performances is its own study. I tend to go secretly, watch until the end and enjoy it."
She continued, "I watched TWICE and I went to EXO D.O.'s performance too. I try to watch as many performances as possible. It relieves stress and is healing."
Hearing this, Gong Seung-yeon chimed in, "My younger sibling wanted to give invitation tickets, but I heard she purchased them herself," and IU said, "I like TWICE so much," bringing warmth.
