The group BTS has been chosen as the special cover model for the May issue of the internationally prestigious music magazine Rolling Stone.
At midnight on the 14th, Rolling Stone simultaneously unveiled a full-group cover image of BTS and an interview video worldwide. This project is a record-setting-scale undertaking for Rolling Stone since its founding, being published simultaneously in 16 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. In particular, eight editions will be published in total: one group cover version and seven individual covers showcasing each member's charms, and this is the first time such a bold lineup has been attempted for a K-pop artist.
In the released photo spread, the members flawlessly pulled off styling that mixed black-and-white tones with denim, exuding an unbound, rebellious aura. Their characteristic relaxed gestures and the deepened intensity in their eyes, honed over more than a decade as top global artists since debut, instantly captivate viewers.

다른 멤버들 역시 완전체 활동에 대한 각별한 애정과 끈끈한 결속력을 자랑했다. 맏형 진은 “그룹과 함께하지 않는다면 활동을 계속할 이유가 없다고 항상 생각했다”며 흔들림 없는 신뢰를 표했고, 제이홉은 “멤버들이 서로의 부족함을 채워주는 과정에서 왜 우리가 일곱이어야만 하는지 다시금 깨달았다”고 고백했다. 슈가 또한 역시 성과에만 매몰되기보다 서로의 건강을 돌보며 즐겁게 활동하고 싶다는 여유로운 마음가짐을 보였다.
지민은 “훌륭한 멤버들 사이에서 저의 가치를 증명하고 팀의 위상을 높이기 위해 역량을 더 끌어올리겠다”며 남다른 각오를 다졌다. 뷔는 군 복무 시절을 회상하며 “군 생활 동안 몸과 마음을 다시 ‘빌드업’하며 아티스트로서 나아갈 다음 단계를 구상했다”고 성숙해진 면모를 보였다. 정국은 공백기 동안 공연을 하고 무대에서 춤추고 싶은 마음이 간절했다고 털어놓으며, 그동안 참아왔던 열정을 이번 앨범에 모두 쏟아냈음을 강조했다.
이외에도 멤버들은 전곡을 스페인어로 소화하며 큰 성공을 거둔 배드 버니의 슈퍼볼 무대를 눈여겨보았으며, 그의 행보를 따르는 것에 흥미를 느끼고 있다고 밝혔다.
지민은 "초대를 받아야만 할 수 있는 일이죠"라고 말했고, 진은 이미 자신들의 무대가 어떤 모습일지 상상해 본 적이 있다고 털어놓았다.
RM은 보다 신중한 태도를 보였다. 그는 "시간이 흐르고 사람들의 인식이 바뀐다면 어떨까 싶다"라고 말했다. 이어 "전 세계 사람들이 '기생충'을 비롯한 훌륭한 한국 문화 콘텐츠를 지켜보고 있습니다. 그러니 언젠가 기회가 닿는다면 꼭 해보고 싶다"라고 덧붙였다.
