'Yumi's Cells 3' Kim Jaewon awakened the cell of Kim Go-eun, who had fallen into a deep sleep.
On the 13th episode of the TVING original 'Yumi's Cells season 3' (directed by Lee Sang-yeop, written by Song Jae-jeong·Kim Kyung-ran, provided by TVING, produced by Studio Dragon·Merry Cow·Studio N), the first meeting between Shin Sun-rok (played by Kim Jaewon) and Kim Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun) was depicted.
That day Yumi's friend Lee Da (played by Miram) advised the much-hit Yumi, who had produced four hits, saying, "Write comfortably, thinking that it's okay if one of them flops," urging her not to feel burdened about writing.
Yumi had not been able to write for a long time. After hearing Lee Da's words, Yumi confessed, "I don't think it's because of pressure. Maybe it's because I'm too unconcerned. Maybe life is tasteless?"
Lee Da envied her, but Yumi lamented that even travel and skydiving made her feel "briefly moved, but once the moment passed I wanted to go down. Nothing really resonated."
Lee Da diagnosed, "It's because you haven't dated in too long," but Yumi said she found dating bothersome and preferred a boring, tasteless life.
In Yumi's cell village, several cells had become useless and were asleep in a frozen base. Afterwards, Shin Sun-rok PD newly took charge of Yumi in place of the PD who was injured while skydiving with Yumi.
Trying to dispel the awkwardness, Yumi brought up various topics and soon realized she and Sun-rok were acquainted, joking, "I guess we're connected?" but Sun-rok showed little reaction and focused only on his work, creating a bittersweet feeling.
Later Yumi happened to learn that Sun-rok lived in the same neighborhood, and after Sun-rok left his studio she waited a long time before heading out, only to meet him again at the bus stop.
Yumi tried to walk in the opposite direction from Sun-rok as much as possible, but as if by Wooyeon's prank she couldn't avoid meeting him in front of the fish-shaped pastry shop. Even after Yumi said she only ate strawberry cream fish-shaped pastries, Sun-rok bought them all and awakened Yumi's "I hate it, I hate it" cell.
The "I hate it, I hate it" cell shouted, "I hate Shin Sun-rok. I totally hate him," causing laughter. As time passed, during a meeting Sun-rok told Yumi "Maltese dogs are stupid" and pointed out that the setting needed to be changed, even calling it a "Maltese that eats poop," which prompted Yumi's swear cell to awaken. <
