Comedian Lee Yongju's YouTube channel narrowly escaped suspension.
Earlier this January, the channel '용주르이용주' uploaded a video titled "Pajama party: raid on Seonmin's house vlog." The video showed Lee Yongju and Yoo Young-woo secretly visiting fellow comedian Lee Seon-min's home. The three changed into pajamas and played poker, enjoying a pajama party late into the night.
But on the 10th of this month, three months after the video was posted, Lee Yongju posted a lengthy statement saying, "I gathered the courage to publicize our grievance against what we suffered from YouTube and to expose YouTube's misdeeds." He expressed his grievance, saying, "This morning we received notice from YouTube that the '용쥬르이용주' channel violated guidelines and was barred from uploading for one week and given a strike. Lee Yongju said, "This has damaged not only my reputation but also the reputation of comedian Lee Seon-min, who is currently on the rise, and comedian Yoo Young-woo is recovering at home after meals due to shock. He appealed, "If YouTube attacks us again, our channel will disappear. Please clear our grievance so we can continue to post videos that bring you joy, and stop YouTube's misdeeds." Lee Yongju also posted the same appeal in a video titled "YouTube suspended the 용쥬르이용주 channel, please help" on the 'Pisik University' channel.
Meanwhile, on the night of the 13th, Lee Yongju posted an additional message saying, "Thanks to you, the video has finally been restored!!!!" He announced that the appeal result allowed them to clear their grievance safely. He expressed overwhelming emotion, saying, "We all came together with the first penguin spirit and made this happen.
