Group Shinhwa member Kim Dong Wan expressed his conviction.
Recently Kim Dong Wan posted on social media, "Until before the pandemic, refusing group chats was somehow considered rude. Now there are people who say blocking is rude. Usually it is the story of the person who was blocked."
He added, "But one of the quietest and most effective ways to respond to rudeness is to put distance," saying, "the word "block" just sounds unusually harsh, but in reality it is closer to averting your gaze from something you find unpleasant."
He also said, "It doesn't seem to be a problem unique to social media. There have always been strange people in the world," and added, "Isn't the important thing to mix appropriately without being contaminated?" expressing his conviction.
Earlier, Kim Dong Wan had sparked controversy several times over posts he left recently on social media. After he posted a message in support of the "legalization of prostitution" he explained, "What I am worried about is the influx of minors, lack of disease control, and exploitation within illegal structures," which caused controversy.
Last month, while refraining from public activities due to drunk driving, he was criticized for supporting MC Dingdong, who became controversial for grabbing the hair of a female BJ who had been hosting an "Axel broadcast" with him and assaulting her. Afterwards Kim Dong Wan also apologized, saying, "If my words and actions caused discomfort, it is entirely my responsibility."
