Monni's Kim Shin-eui said there were musical differences with his agency and bandmates and announced a temporary suspension of full-group activities.

He opened by saying, I am truly grateful to everyone who loves Monni's music. Since creating Monni, I have walked the path of music without a single regret. Thanks to the members who have been with me, I was able to continue for 20 years, and countless stages remain for me as precious memories that cannot be exchanged for anything.
He continued, Saying that spending 20 years with the same members was by no means easy, but it was a time of understanding each other and growing together. I sincerely thank the members who stayed with imperfect me, he said, while also saying there were differences of opinion with the members by saying, At first, just being able to stand on stage was overwhelming and I was grateful, but as time passed and each person's experiences and thoughts accumulated, differences arose in musical direction and future goals.

Looking forward to the day I can take the stage again as Monni, I will continue to make good music based on the musical identity Monni has built over 20 years. I will meet you soon with new music, he said, announcing that he plans to meet the public through individual, not band, activities.
On actual portal site profiles, Kim Shin-eui's name has disappeared from the list of members of the band Monni. The current Monni profile only displays the names and photos of Lee In-gyeong, Jeong Hoon-tae and Gong Tae-woo. Earlier, Monni took residence at a new agency called PlayArk last year and embarked on a new leap. It appears there were conflicts between the agency and members over musical differences in this process.
