Recently, Lee Jinho was hospitalized with a cerebral hemorrhage. After being taken to the intensive care unit, he barely regained consciousness and has now been moved to a general ward to focus on recovery. Meanwhile, the behind-the-scenes stories of close entertainment industry colleagues such as Kangin and Lee Yongjin are drawing attention.
According to his agency SM C&C, Lee Jinho was hospitalized on the 1st after a sudden cerebral hemorrhage. In particular, Kangin's help was crucial in this process. Kangin called his close friend Lee Jinho on the 1st, the day Lee Jinho collapsed. Lee Jinho, who was losing consciousness, barely answered Kangin's call and described his physical condition. Afterwards, Kangin quickly called 119, and emergency responders arrived promptly and were able to transport Lee Jinho to the hospital.
After news of Lee Yongjin's cerebral hemorrhage became known, his close friend Lee Jinho rushed to the hospital room. Due to Lee Jinho being in the intensive care unit, only close family and acquaintances were allowed to visit. Lee Yongjin checked on Lee Jinho's condition and then returned home, but his quick trip to the hospital and his friendship are being talked about 14 days later.
In fact, Lee Yongjin and Lee Jinho are middle school senior and junior from Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, and they became long-time close friends and comedy colleagues after both passing SBS's 8th open audition for comedians. Accordingly, they worked together on many corners from SBS's '웃찾사' to tvN's 'Comedy Big League' and were loved as the "Yongjinho" duo. They appeared together on numerous variety shows and showed their close bond until 2024, when Lee Jinho effectively halted his entertainment industry activities after admitting to illegal gambling.
Lee Jinho, who debuted in 2005 as an SBS special recruit, admitted to illegal gambling in 2024 and stopped activities in the entertainment industry 20 years after his debut. Last September, he was caught driving under the influence and was sent to prosecutors. It was also reported that he had fallen behind on health insurance payments of about 28 million won from April 2023. Nevertheless, the continued ties with close entertainment industry colleagues such as Kangin and Lee Yongjin are drawing attention.
Regarding Lee Jinho's condition, his agency SM C&C told OSEN, "Lee Jinho was hospitalized on April 1 in the afternoon after a sudden cerebral hemorrhage. He is currently regaining consciousness and focusing on treatment.
