Influencer and broadcaster Kim Ji-young drew heated attention online after firmly expressing her conviction about the 'solo entrance' that broke wedding customs. Debate is raging in some quarters.
On the 12th, Kim Ji-young released a Q&A video on her YouTube channel covering all aspects of wedding preparations. The most talked-about moment was her 'principled move' of entering the venue alone instead of with her father and her clarification about the public's misunderstanding surrounding it.
Kim Ji-young directly addressed the 'father absent' rumor that had surfaced online communities after the wedding and responded coolly. Kim Ji-young smiled and said, "There were comments asking if my father isn't around, but my father is doing well."
Kim Ji-young said of the 'solo entrance,' "The idea that a father protects his daughter and hands her over to the groom didn't resonate with me. Having lived independently as an adult without parental support, that meaning wasn't important to me."

Regarding guests and the meal costs, she explained, "It was a large-scale ceremony with about 1,000 guests, but the meal costs were sufficiently covered by congratulatory money."
Her husband covered the wedding expense without parental support, and Kim Ji-young appears to have completed an efficient wedding by leveraging her influence as an influencer to actively secure sponsorships and discounts.
