Comedian Shim Hyun-seop opened up candidly about his newlywed life with his wife Jeong Young-rim.
On the 12th, the YouTube channel Jeong Young-rim Shim Hyun-seop uploaded a video titled "I am considerate husband Shim who doesn't disturb his wife!"
The video showed the two people enjoying a quiet weekend date.
That day, when Jeong Young-rim quietly read a book under the sun, Shim Hyun-seop sang and broke the silence, and after waiting beside her he finally complained, "It's really hard to stay quiet and not speak."
In response, Jeong Young-rim said, "How nice is it to sit like this?" as she enjoyed the calm moment, and Shim Hyun-seop indirectly grumbled, "Mrs. Jeong Young-rim said she wanted to show everyone that she reads books elegantly."
He continued, "She doesn't usually read books but pretends to. I almost died not speaking for five minutes," adding, "I really respect people married 10 or 20 years across the country. You have to follow your wife anywhere, even on holidays," which drew laughter.
Shim Hyun-seop also joked about why he hadn't uploaded videos recently, saying, "I couldn't upload because we fought last week." But Jeong Young-rim retorted, "Have we ever fought? Oppa was so busy there wasn't even time to fight," and Shim Hyun-seop added with more laughter, "Honestly, we can't fight. I have to take good care of her. I really want to be patriarchal, but I can't."
Meanwhile, Shim Hyun-seop married Jeong Young-rim, who is 11 years his junior, in April last year. The couple also shared that they are currently trying in vitro fertilization for a second child.<
