Former national soccer team player Song Jong-guk's recent whereabouts have been revealed.
On the 12th, actor Kim Seung-hyun's channel Gwangsan Kim family uploaded a video titled "Why South Korea's soccer legends came to see Kim Seung-hyun."
That day Kim Seung-hyun attended the opening ceremony of the Cheonan Korea Football Park. He explained, "Today I have to go to Cheonan. The Korea Football Association sent me an invitation. They say the Korea Football Park in Cheonan is a place where South Korean soccer players train and where South Korean soccer talents can be nurtured, and that it opens today."
He added, "You might suddenly wonder why Kim Seung-hyun is going to the Korea Football Park opening. I have been working hard as a publicity director representing entertainers for the 'Soccer Love Sharing Foundation' within the Korea Football Association, a group that donates and volunteers. So I was invited today."
After dressing up, Kim Seung-hyun attended the Korea Football Park opening. He introduced and shyly greeted, "Many people came. Over there behind, catching the eye is coach Kong Ji-meori Kim Byung-ji. My close friend Lee Chun-soo. He is now a youth coach. Coach Seol Ki-hyun is here, and coach Song Jong-guk is also here."
In particular, Song Jong-guk in the video drew attention as he was seen wearing a suit and talking with Seol Ki-hyun. Earlier, Song Jong-guk had shared that after his divorce he was living in a camper van rather than a house and had become a "natural person."
After his first divorce, Song Jong-guk remarried in 2006 to Park Ip-sun (Park Yeon-su) and had a daughter Song Ji-a and a son Song Ji-uk. However, they divorced in 2015, and Park Yeon-su received sole custody, parental rights, and the house. Later, in 2024 he also had conflicts with Park Yeon-su over child support issues because Park Yeon-su posted alleging unpaid child support, writing, "I only asked that he keep the promise made before the law for the sake of the children..."
Meanwhile, Song Jong-guk recently drew attention by revealing on various entertainment programs that he has been living in a camper van for years instead of a house. On the MBN program Alto-ran last year, he showed a 70 million won camper van located on a country property of more than 500 pyeong with a small reservoir in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, and introduced it as "my small 6-pyeong home." He said, "Living in a camper van is more comfortable than living in an apartment. I chose camper van life for a free and comfortable daily life."
Moreover, Song Jong-guk has stopped all separate SNS activity. His sharing his whereabouts after about a year through Kim Seung-hyun's YouTube channel has been welcomed.
Meanwhile, Song Jong-guk is currently serving as the U-23 coach at Hwaseong FC, a professional soccer club in K League 2.
