Comedian Yang Sang-guk confessed that he once suffered from "Seoul disease" ("Gangnam disease").
On the 13th, the SBS variety show 'Ani geunde jinjja' (abbreviated as 'Ageunjin') featured a newly conceived talk show 'Nappeun yeoseokdeul' in which Kim Sung-kyun and Yang Sang-guk appeared as guests and showcased their wit.
That day Yang Sang-guk said, "I'm from Jinyoung-eup, which is even more rural than Gimhae," and explained, "To tell you how rural it is, I was born at home. A midwife grandmother came and delivered me."
He continued, "Because it was rural, if even one foreign car passed through the neighborhood, everyone would stare. So I also drove a foreign car back to my hometown and deliberately made the exhaust sound loud while driving one lap," he recalled.
When Lee Sang-min pointed out Yang Sang-guk's posturing, Yang Sang-guk said, "Even if it was posturing, that was my standard of success," and noted, "Coming up from the countryside, living in Gangnam was another dream. I lived in a Gangnam officetel paying monthly rent for 10 years. I never once fell behind on the rent," he said, drawing surprise.
