TOMORROW X TOGETHER returns with mini album 8, which candidly addresses the emotions and thoughts they felt while active during their seven years since debut.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai) will present mini album 8, '7TH YEAR: 가시덤불에 잠시 바람이 멈췄을 때', today (13) at 6 p.m. The album includes a total of six tracks: the title track '하루에 하루만 더 (Stick With You)', 'Bed of Thorns', 'Take Me to Nirvana (feat. 万Vinida Weng)', 'So What', '21st Century Romance', and '다음의 다음'.
This album is the first group record the five members have released since re-signing with their agency, BigHit Music, last year. It raises expectations because it addresses what they felt during past activities. Whereas a fictional "boy" served as the narrator singing the narrative of youth, this time the members themselves take center stage as the protagonists and show a new side. Their candid expressions of anxiety and emptiness about the future are expected to resonate as universal emotions with listeners around the world. The members participated in selecting the album's theme as well as writing and composing songs, adding authenticity.
The lyrical, long album title and the Korean title track draw the attention of K-pop fans. TOMORROW X TOGETHER drew notice early in their career with distinctive song titles such as '어느날 머리에서 뿔이 자랐다 (CROWN)' and '9와 4분의 3 승강장에서 너를 기다려 (Run Away)'. Even the titles, which recall that time, raise interest.
The title track '하루에 하루만 더 (Stick With You)' is an electro-pop track notable for its addictive, powerful chorus melody. It depicts the poignancy of wanting to hold on to a love that seems to be ending. The emotion conveyed in the song can also be interpreted as TOMORROW X TOGETHER's determination to hold on to their dreams and move forward. The performance, which amplifies the song's appeal, is also a point of anticipation. The point choreography, such as using a loop sign to express the desire to add day after day and be together infinitely, adds visual enjoyment.
Meanwhile, TOMORROW X TOGETHER will hold a comeback showcase at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium at 8 p.m. on the 13th. The showcase will be broadcast live worldwide through the global superfan platform Weverse and HYBE Labels' official YouTube channel.
