Yang Jun-hyuk opened up about losses from a failed business.
In the 352nd episode of KBS2's "Sadanggwi," which aired on the 12th, scenes showed Jung Ho-young, Jung Ji-seon and Yang Jun-hyuk leaving for Hong Kong on a site visit.
That day the three visited Anh Sung-jae chef's Mosu Hong Kong, where Chef Jung Jin-hwan, who serves as executive chef at Mosu Hong Kong, appeared.
Currently Mosu Hong Kong is configured with seating for a total of 60 people, and regarding the reservation status, "Culinary Class Wars" was popular even before the appearance, and right after the broadcast reservations filled up very quickly. Now the reservations are full for a month," he said, drawing attention.
With particular interest in sales, Jung Ho-young and Jung Ji-seon estimated daily sales excluding alcohol at 2,000 by considering a lunch price of 200,000 won and a dinner price of 400,000 won, prompting surprise.
When asked about the monthly rent for the building, Jung Ho-young guessed, "This museum building has a basic monthly rent. You have to sign a five-year contract, and the monthly rent seemed to be 60 million won," and Chef Jung said, "Here you have to pay rent proportional to the business," implying it is more than 60 million won.
They also heard about Anh Sung-jae from Chef Jung Jin-hwan. Chef Jung explained, "He worked as a sous chef at Mosu Seoul, and the chef said, 'There is such a good opportunity overseas; do you want to go and try it together?' He has now been in charge here in Hong Kong for two years," he explained.
Asked about Anh Sung-jae's manner at work, "Because this is my kitchen anyway, the chef doesn't touch things recklessly and shows respect. If he has any advice, he tells you separately," and "He is very cool-headed, but once you get to know him he seems like a boss you can understand. If something is not prepared, he scolds you. There's no cutting corners," he joked.
On the second day the three headed to Yim A Island, the hometown of Chow Yun-fat, and visited Chow Yun-fat's regular restaurant. While eating, Yang Jun-hyuk, seeing a rockfish stew of enormous size, said, "It's hard to raise rockfish to this size, but they raised them well," revealing his deep knowledge of rockfish. When Jung Ho-young suggested, "How about trying to raise yellowtail and rockfish together?" Yang Jun-hyuk, with sad eyes, admitted, "I once farmed rockfish, abalone, stone sea bream and flatfish, but they all failed."
He added, "I suffered huge losses. I spent all the money I earned during my playing days on the fish farm. I lost 5 billion won back then, and now I have to earn 10 billion won," he said, drawing surprise.
