Actress Lee Tae-ran looked back on her debut days.
On the 12th, TV CHOSUN's 'Gourmet Heo Young-man's banquet tour' aired, showing Heo Yeong and Lee Tae-ran visiting Hongseong, South Chungcheong Province.
At Hongseong Sky Tower, a landmark of Hongseong, Heo Yeong, who met Lee Tae-ran, moved her by saying, "The reason I worked so hard on 'Banquet Tour' is for today." They moved to Oseosan counseling village, and while walking a quiet mountain path they met a grandmother pounding rice in a mortar. When the grandmother saw Lee Tae-ran she immediately said, "How did the person who comes across as mean on television come here?" which made Lee Tae-ran feel the height of her popularity.
Heo Yeong-man and Lee Tae-ran headed to a restaurant run for 11 years by 12 village elders. With side dishes such as jjimjang, modubu, scallion kimchi, seasoned wild chive, and seasoned wild aster, a table of side dishes was piled high and all the dishes brought the feeling of spring. Lee Tae-ran said she was satisfied, "I like tasting the natural flavors of ingredients, and the seasoning isn't strong but pleasantly mild."
Having gone through big productions such as 'The Famous Seven Princesses', 'Wangga's Family', 'Our Golden Days' and 'SKY Castle', Lee Tae-ran said, "I debuted in 1997, and next year will be 30 years," and "After graduating high school I worked at a company. I worked there for three years and did small roles as a part-time job." Lee Tae-ran, who appeared in the film 'The Young Man' starring Lee Jung-jae and Shin Eun-kyung, said, "Before that I mostly played kind, humane characters, but after doing 'Our Golden Days' the way people looked at me when I went to restaurants changed."
Lee Tae-ran said, "It wasn't easy when I acted. It was a character I hadn't tried before, and there were a lot of lines, so it was really hard. Although it was difficult I enjoyed it, and getting an award felt like compensation, so I feel very grateful and rewarded."
