JYP Entertainment boy band Xdinary Heroes (Xdinary Heroes, XH) released all track sneak peeks for their new album, signaling the birth of a masterpiece.
Xdinary Heroes opened a track sneak peek on the group's official SNS channels ahead of the release of their new mini album "DEAD AND" (Dead And) on the 17th, previewing portions of all seven songs on the album. On the 11th they presented the album track "No Cool Kids Zone" and the title track "Voyager," and on the 12th they introduced track 1, "Helium Balloon."
In the video for track 3, "No Cool Kids Zone," Jun Han introduces swagger-filled lyrics—"We hate some dumbers and the pretty face of players So dare you wanna come here need to get permission (Fool, sheet) Don't u know? Just get it off"—with a rhythmically engaging performance accompanied by intense sound. The garage band vibe and witty lyrics promise listening enjoyment.
In the title track "Voyager," Geon Il, Jeong Su, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han and Juyeon sing the lyrics "상처 입은 모든 게 부질없어 보일지 모른대도 널 떠나올 때처럼 I'll ignite for ya Burning brighter 'til we disappear Oh oh oh" delivering overwhelming emotion. The powerful rhythm and sweeping band performance heighten immersion and raise curiosity for the full audio release.
In the "Helium Balloon" video, Juyeon recites the lyrics "Tick Tock Tick Tock 떠오를수록 조여 와 언제든 터져 버릴지 몰라 What should I do I loved who I was, filled with you I'm afraid but it has slipped away" over a lyrical melody, evoking a wistful sentiment. Dreamy, vintage melodies and delicate expressiveness combine to leave a deep aftertaste.
The new album "DEAD AND" includes seven songs in total: the title track "Voyager," the pre-release track "X room," "Helium Balloon," "No Cool Kids Zone," "Hurt So Good," "Rise High Rise," and "KTM." Since debut the members of Xdinary Heroes have directly participated in songwriting on each release, showing distinct personalities and upgraded abilities, and this new work, which credits all members, is expected to present original music as well.
Riding the momentum of the new release, they will launch the special live "Xdinary Heroes 'The New Xcene' Special Live in Europe & UK" starting in Manchester on May 31 (local time), then London on June 2, Paris on June 4, Frankfurt on June 7 and Milan on June 9, covering Europe and the U.K. Following their first solo local performances in Osaka and Yokohama in Japan in January as part of "The New Xcene," they will expand their global presence and continue showing their strength as a must-see live act on the world stage.
Meanwhile, Xdinary Heroes' eighth mini album "DEAD AND" and the title track "Voyager" will be available on various music sites at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 17.
