Yoon Do-hyun recalled his battle with cancer.
On the 11th, MBC's Omniscient Interfering View (hereafter Omniscient Interfering View) aired, featuring creator Jimuby and singer Yoon Do-hyun grants.
The representative said, "When my brother was sick, (a fan) said they had the same disease. They gained strength from listening to the band's songs and ultimately made a full recovery."
The representative said of Yoon Do-hyun, who fought cancer, "Wilm's lymphoma, a rare blood cancer. It is a disease that is almost hidden in the stomach," then said, "I just got a call and they said it was cancer in a flat tone. I also, for a moment, flatly thought, 'It won't be a big deal. He'll recover soon.' After hanging up the phone, many thoughts came to me. There is pressure and weight in the words. How hard and scary must it be for the person involved?"
The representative said that Yoon Do-hyun told him about the cancer before his wife and explained, "I would have done the same. She was always by my side." Yoon Do-hyun added, "I wanted to overcome it together. In that sense. After the two of us talked, I told my wife." Yoon Do-hyun said, "My wife was very surprised. I told my daughter it was nothing, not a serious problem, and that I was fine. She asked, so I told her. She cried."
The representative said, "I tried to take time off, but my brother kept working. He said let's do as usual. Rather, he said let's keep our energy bright and positive. When you undergo drug treatment, you feel unwell. It's not easy to carry on daily life. But he didn't show it and pushed ahead with his schedule. My heart hurt a lot."
The representative said, "It was the early days of the musical 'Gwanghwamun Love Song'," and Yoon Do-hyun added, "I had drug treatment, it failed, and I even had radiation therapy."
The representative said, "There is that thing in our line of work. You follow the title. At first I didn't want to do 'Gwanghwamun Love Song.' It's about going to heaven. I was going to quit, but he said let's do it. But it was so hard. My chest hurt until the final performance. I cried so much without realizing it."
Yoon Do-hyun recalled, "It wasn't explained why the main character dies. At the time, the director said in passing, 'You can think he died of cancer.' My chest tightened for an instant. There is an actor cast in the same role. At the end, before going to heaven there is an emotional line, and one day Pil-seok said, 'That scene of yours is superb.' I thought to myself, 'There is a reason.'"
