MBC's Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown is a romance drama set in a constitutional monarchy Korea that tells the story of Seong Hee-ju (played by IU), a woman who has everything as a chaebol but is frustrated because her social status is commoner, and Grand Prince Ian (played by Byeon Woo-seok), a man who is the king's son but sad because he cannot have anything. Yoon Byung-hee made a special appearance as the head of the publicity team at Castle Beauty and drew attention with an impressive performance from the early episodes.
In episode 1, Yoon Byung-hee appeared nervously watching IU's reactions over poor product sales. At Hee-ju's order to carry out a viral article because of an issue involving the king's birthday event he was invited to, he even trembled and took notes with shaking hands. Later he shouted, "Everything related to the president must sell out no matter what," boosting his team members' morale. That momentum was short-lived; after submitting a publicity plan and receiving Hee-ju's sharp criticism that it was obvious, the publicity head froze and became withdrawn, creating an ironically sad resonance.
Meanwhile, in episode 2, Yoon Byung-hee was depicted receiving an abrupt summons from IU. He was secretly asked to find out everything about Grand Prince Ian in order to marry him. The head of the publicity team mobilized acquaintances and swiftly collected Ian's usual whereabouts, perfectly completing the assigned task. After handing a USB with the information to Hee-ju's secretary Do Hye-jung (played by Lee Yeon) and asking, "Did I get on that president's line?" he could not hide his excitement and joy when he heard a positive answer, bringing a small laugh.
In this way, Yoon Byung-hee realistically captured the moments of a real office worker doing his best at assigned tasks despite intense pressure from superiors, captivating viewers. With his life-oriented acting that added dimensionality to the character, curiosity grows about what continued contributions he will make as IU's ally.
