'Emotional balladeer' Piano Man (real name Kim Se-jeong) joins the ranks of married men today (12th).
Piano Man will marry his non-celebrity partner, whom he has dated for two years, at a wedding hall in Gangnam, Seoul. The ceremony will be held privately with only family members, relatives and close acquaintances from both sides invited.
The two met through an introduction by an acquaintance and became a couple two years ago. After nurturing their love while sharing common hobbies such as exercising and enjoying escape room cafes, they have borne the fruit of marriage.
Ahead of the wedding, Piano Man told OSEN, "Marriage, to me, feels less like a choice and more like the result of time that naturally flowed." He added, "I have expressed countless emotions through my music until now, but what resonates most is that I now have someone to share those emotions with. I hope our time flows like quiet but long-lasting music," expressing deep affection for his bride-to-be.
In particular, on the reason he decided to marry, he said, "As the time we spent together accumulated, it naturally turned into conviction," and "Even on ordinary days that are not special, as they piled up one by one, it led to the feeling of 'I want to continue to be together in the future. '"
Earlier, Piano Man announced the wedding news directly to fans through a handwritten letter. He said, "I met someone I want to walk through life with and am getting married. Piano Man, who debuted in 2016, introduced ballad songs imbued with his unique sensibility such as 'With the words I love you' and 'On the streets of Hyehwa-dong.'
