Kang Jun Kyu delivered a passionate performance as the young Kang Dong-sik in episode 10 of the SBS Fri-Sat drama Shin I-rang Law Office (written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Cheol-gyu, directed by Shin Jung-hoon), which aired on the 11th.
Shin I-rang Law Office follows the peculiar yet warm revenge-adventure of "the possessed lawyer" Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok), who thrillingly resolves the grudges of the deceased, and Hanna-han (Esom), the cold-blooded elite lawyer who stakes everything on winning.
That episode unfolded the past story of Kang Dong-sik, the founder of Isang Shoe Company. Kang Jun Kyu stably portrayed the capable young Kang Dong-sik, who quietly made shoes on the handcrafted shoe street in Malli-dong in 1979.
In the drama, Kang Dong-sik is a craftsman at heart, showing conviction and revealing a solemn side in his first meeting with Chae Jeong-hee, naturally building the narrative of their relationship.
