Announcer-turned-broadcaster Kwak Min-seon complained of malicious comments related to her husband, soccer player Song Min-gyu's transfer.
Kwak Min-seon posted a long message on her SNS on the 12th saying, "When he became a free agent, malicious DMs came to those who created and were trapped by the rumors and traitor frame themselves, and until the day before the Jeonbuk match I even received a death threat saying 'If I meet you at the Jeonju Castle branch, I'll beat you to death.'"
She lamented, "When I woke up, there were mockeries like 'Are you that dog who can't even properly introduce your Buk-pair husband?' along with severe insults and sexual harassment. Because some people might find it uncomfortable, I stopped taking screenshots and was quietly filing complaints, but new DMs keep coming and I'm so tired. Could you please stop?"
Earlier, Song Min-gyu, who had been playing for Jeonbuk Hyundai, transferred to FC Seoul earlier this year, and since then some internet users have been continuously sending malicious DMs, even blaming his wife Kwak Min-seon. On the 11th, when FC Seoul won 1-0 in a home match against Jeonbuk Hyundai in the Hana Bank K League 1 2026 round 7 at Seoul World Cup Stadium, it appears that malicious comments resurfaced.
Kwak Min-seon revealed malicious DMs containing crude insults and criticism and expressed her feelings in January as well.
Meanwhile, Kwak Min-seon is a former full-time announcer hired through regular recruitment by SPOTV Games and has mainly worked in the e-sports field. In 2022 she signed an exclusive contract with Starit Entertainment and expanded her activities as a broadcaster, and in September last year she appeared on TV CHOSUN's Chosun's sweetheart with her fiancé Song Min-gyu. The two later became officially married after holding their wedding on Dec. 20 last year.
