The group's BTS member Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' music video surpassed 600 million views.
The "global pop star" Jungkook's "Seven (feat. Latto)" YouTube music video surpassed 600 million views at around 4:43 p.m. on the 10th. The video reached 100 million views in just 10 days after its release in July 2023, and even in its fourth year since release it continued to be loved, marking the first 600 million view milestone among Jungkook's solo songs.
In the music video, Jungkook delivered a passionate performance as a man struggling to prove his love to his partner throughout the week. The witty direction and stylish visuals drew explosive popularity among global music fans. Directors Bradley Bell and Pablo Jones-Soler, who have worked with several international artists such as Harry Styles and Cardi B, took the helm to create a film-like story.
"Seven (feat. Latto)" is a passionate serenade in which he sings he wants to be with the person he loves every day. An addictive melody, warm-sounding acoustic guitar and the rhythm of "UK garage" (an electronic music genre created in the early 1990s in the U.K.) harmonize. Added to that, Jungkook's sweet and solid voice captivated music fans around the world.
"Seven (feat. Latto)" achieved strong results on major global music charts, including No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard main song chart the Hot 100 and No. 3 on the U.K. Official Chart the Official Singles Top 100. On the Billboard charts released on the 7th (April 11), it ranked 89 on the Global Excluding U.S. chart, marking 142 consecutive weeks on that chart, and it was 165 on the Global 200, marking 139 weeks on the chart, an astonishing achievement. On the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global (tracking period: April 3–April 9), it landed at 93, remaining on the chart for 143 consecutive weeks. This is the longest record among K-pop solo singers.
