Singer the late Park Bo-ram has reached the second anniversary of her death.
Park Bo-ram died on Apr. 11, 2024. She was 30.
Park Bo-ram was drinking with acquaintances at an acquaintance's house in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, when she was found collapsed in the bathroom. She was taken to a hospital immediately after being found but died at 11:15 p.m. the same day.
At the time, Park Bo-ram is believed to have shared about one bottle of soju with two female acquaintances. A friend who thought it was strange that she had stood up saying she was going to the bathroom and not returned found Park Bo-ram and reported it.
To determine the cause of Park Bo-ram's death, the police, with the family's consent, requested an autopsy from the National Forensic Service, and the final autopsy conclusion, issued 43 days after her death, was acute alcohol poisoning.
At the time, the deceased, who had been in poor health due to conditions such as gallbladder disease and fatty liver, showed no other suspected cause of death besides acute alcohol poisoning. At the scene at the time of death, there were no signs suggesting criminal suspicion or an intentional act.
Meanwhile, Park Bo-ram became known through Mnet's 'Superstar K2' in 2010 and won great love with the single "You Became Pretty." In particular, it was reported that she had been preparing a comeback with a full-length album, which added to the sadness.
