In the first broadcast on the 10th of MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Perfect Crown', the crown mother Yun I-rang (Gong Seung-yeon) and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo-seok) were shown engaging in a war of nerves.
Earlier, Yun I-rang said, "Are you trying to kill the king of this country again?" and, suspecting Grand Prince Ian as the cause of the fire in the central hall, slapped him in front of everyone. Grand Prince Ian said, "His majesty the king is only eight years old. He is far too young to perform official duties, so my regency is unavoidable. Besides, regency is not that great, is it?" He explained, "Politics is for politicians. Commerce is for merchants. The royal family can do nothing. The only thing is to do nothing."
Yun I-rang lamented, "Have you never thought that this is power? Politicians work hard to take the seat beside you. A single photo taken with you has more power than ten carefully crafted pledges. Corporations display protocol whenever you go on foreign tours. Just the fact that you allowed them close gains investors' trust. The golden prize was overshadowed by you."
Eventually Grand Prince Ian asked bluntly, "What do you want from me?" Yun I-rang waged the war of nerves, saying, "Be a strong backer for the golden prize. Hold a wedding. Marry the woman I choose and show your support for me and the golden prize."
