Former Click-B member Kim Sang-hyuk directly revisited a drunk driving controversy from 20 years ago.
Kim Sang-hyuk mentioned the past drunk driving incident in "[emergency press conference] Click-B Kim Sang-hyuk status revealed," which was released on Jang Seongkyu's YouTube channel "Manrijangseongkyu" on the 10th.
That day, Jang Seongkyu, hosting the "conscience refrigerator" segment, invited his elementary school classmate Kim Sang-hyuk as a guest and asked, "Did you come out knowing what you were doing?"
In response, Kim Sang-hyuk said frankly, "That 'conscience refrigerator' that Lee Kyung-kyu did a lot," and added, "I'm not sure if someone who once sold their conscience can be on a program that does that kind of conscience campaign. Anyway, with a repentant heart."
Jang Seongkyu laughed in surprise at Kim Sang-hyuk's frankness and emphasized, "He has reformed," and Kim Sang-hyuk mentioned his activities, saying, "I appeared briefly last year. I appeared briefly on 'Mr. Housekeeper'."
Then Jang Seongkyu playfully asked, "Was that your comeback after the news?" which embarrassed Kim Sang-hyuk. Kim Sang-hyuk said, "There were many in between," and then self-deprecatingly and directly said, "There is a saying. I drank alcohol but did not drive drunk. Don't make me do it," which brought laughter.
Jang Seongkyu also emphasized, "Now he's truly become a new person and came out to do good. It's in the past. Don't use old footage," but the production staff used a photo as archival footage from the time of Kim Sang-hyuk's incident. Kim Sang-hyuk, who was enjoying his heyday with Click-B, caused controversy after driving under the influence in 2005 and saying, "I drank alcohol but did not drive drunk," and he suspended activities for a long time.
Kim Sang-hyuk also revealed his current status. He was doing five jobs: restaurant business, clothing, nutritional supplements, bag design and personal broadcasting (TikTok). Kim Sang-hyuk said, "If performance is good, I earn a few thousand (a month)." When Jang Seongkyu said, "(The income) wouldn't be enviable of your heyday," Kim Sang-hyuk honestly replied, "No, I envy my heyday. My heyday lasted until that day."
