BTS met ARMY (the fandom name) through the concert "Arirang" for the first time in four years, and despite the commotion over the theft of wristbands before the show, the performance began without issue.
According to police, at about 3:20 p.m. on the 11th a report was received that a man in his 50s ran off with 500 wristbands from the BTS concert ticket booth at the auxiliary stadium of Goyang Sports Complex in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang.
The police received the report and conducted a search focused on major nearby thoroughfares based on the suspect's clothing. The wristbands the man took are items required for entry to the venue; attendees must show the concert ticket and the wristband together to be admitted.
In this regard, agency BigHit Music said in an official statement, "Wristbands received without going through the proper procedures at the identity verification booth are not valid for entry."
They added, "If there is any act of providing or selling wristbands outside the identity verification booth, please do not accept them and report it to the event organizer or the police."
Despite the pre-show commotion, the BTS concert began without issue. Holding 'BTS world tour "ARIRANG" in Goyang,' BTS will meet about 132,000 fans over the performances on the 9th, 11th and 12th.
