Group AKMU member Lee Suhyun resumed YouTube activities after about three years.
Lee Suhyun uploaded a video titled "the returned i.gong.ju the princess knows nothing" to her YouTube channel on the 11th.
Watching a video from seven years ago, Lee Suhyun said, "There is no trace of forced laughter. The truly amazing thing is that she is the same age as Sabrina. Eight years ago at a social event, a friend named Sabrina was coming to Korea and asked if I would like to make YouTube content together in an interview, but I said I had English anxiety so it might be difficult. Still, since we were the same age it might be nice to become closer, so the content was created, but now she has become a top star who is dominating the Billboard charts," she said.
Watching past videos, Lee Suhyun said, "I now go out with a bare face only. Good basic skincare is the best beauty. Cultivating what you have is the best," and added, "I want to really enjoy this YouTube, which was one of the happiest and most enjoyable projects of my 20s."
Lee Suhyun, who started YouTube in 2017, expressed gratitude, saying, "So many videos and contents flood YouTube and there are so many channel owners, yet 1.65 million people follow and subscribe to me and even follow without unsubscribing; I am truly, truly grateful."
Lee Suhyun said she dislikes the lavishness of large YouTube channels these days, adding, "I want to talk about the daily life of the princess and how I live with a certain attitude."
She continued, "Because I am a princess, there are many princes and princesses around me. There are talks with princes and princesses of neighboring countries," and candidly said, "I started YouTube when I was 19. Since I am no longer a child, people asked me to work together, and because they trust me and are working with me, we bring in advertisers."
She also plans to reveal how she overcame a slump during the year. Finally, Lee Suhyun said, "It is a bit embarrassing and awkward to see you again, but I am very excited and thrilled. I hope this can be a channel to get closer to you once more."
Lee Suhyun had confessed on the tvN program "You Quiz on the Block" broadcast on the 1st that she had fallen into a long slump. Her older brother Lee Chanhyuk said with regret, "The whole family thought she looked like she was having a hard time, but she herself did not know."
Lee Suhyun described her slump period: "I retreated to my room and began a hikikomori life. I only played games and ate delivery food. So I live with the curtains closed. I want to not know whether it is night or day now." She added, "I think I binge ate every single day without fail. When you gain weight rapidly your whole body feels torn. For me there is no better future," conveying how difficult that time was.
