SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Shin I-rang law office' (directed by Shin Jung-hoon, written by Kim Ga-young·Kang Cheol-gyu, produced by StudioS·Mongjakso) in the previous episode Hanna Hyun (Esom) spent a happy time with her older sister Han So-hyun (Hwang Bom-byeol) and after a heartfelt farewell, she expressed gratitude to Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok) who helped her with warm consideration. Also, with Shin I-rang's proposal to share his office, the two lawyers officially became "on the same side," announcing the start of the "Shin I-rang–Hanna Hyun law office." And finally, in episode 10 airing today (11th), their first official joint trial will take place.
At the end of the previous episode, the identity of the vegetable seller grandmother Chae Jeong-hee (Gil Hae-yeon), who lingered in front of office 501 of Okcheon Building, Shin I-rang–Hanna Hyun law office, causing tension, turned out to be none other than a new client. In a preview released immediately after the broadcast, a scene was captured in which she recounts her husband's story, saying "because of my late husband" and revealing that he suffered from dementia before he died.
In particular, this episode features veteran actor Lee Duk-hwa in a special appearance as the vegetable seller grandmother's husband and shoemaker 'Kang Dong-sik,' adding both fun and weight. In the preview, after regaining his memory he introduces himself saying, "I am Kang Dong-sik who makes shoes," and in lines like "oh my head" and "what was this?" it becomes clear he is a dementia patient losing his memory.
But the crux of this trial is the authenticity of the 'will' left by Kang Dong-sik. Memory is crucial. Over the authenticity of Kang Dong-sik's will, Shin I-rang–Hanna Hyun, who argue "there is no reason to falsify the will," and Taebaek's Yang Do-gyeong (Kim Kyeong-nam), who raises suspicions asking "who on earth wrote the will?," clash sharply in court, and the mystery deepens as Taebaek chairman Yang Byung-il (Choi Kwang-il) is seen returning to the gallery to watch the trial.
The chemistry between Shin I-rang and Hanna Hyun is also a viewing point. Hanna Hyun supports Shin I-rang with logical arguments, saying "Chae Jeong-hee proved the handwriting on the will is in the deceased's own hand," and Shin I-rang is expected to unravel the case's thread by communicating with the unseen spirit of Kang Dong-sik. But at a decisive moment, as Kang Dong-sik's spirit attempts to run wild saying it must speak, Shin I-rang desperately restrains it, saying "now is really not the time!" recalling the humiliation he suffered in the first episode when he became possessed in the courtroom. Whether the same situation will unfold again makes the broadcast even more intriguing.
The production team said, "Episode 10 is a meaningful episode in which Shin I-rang and Hanna Hyun, as 'partners under one roof,' coordinate their first efforts.
