"A Seoul National University graduate" KBS announcer Lee Hye-seong became a member of a high-value donors' group.
On the 10th, Lee Hye-seong posted, "I became the 483rd Honor Society member in Seoul," adding, "It may seem presumptuous for someone like me who does not even own a house in my name to participate in such a donation, but I wondered whether there is a specific time, place and occasion for giving. I wanted to join as soon as possible during my spirited youth."
She added, "Above all, the '1% book club' has been growing little by little with the love of many people, and I wanted to give that love back in the form of 'books,'" noting, "The YouTube revenue that I will donate going forward will be used to help children with leukemia and rare diseases build hope and immunity through books. Thanks to this donation, I now have more motivation to pursue my YouTube activities even more vigorously. I will continue to show you my hard work," and certified a 100 million won donation.
Honor Society members are a group of individual major donors who have donated 10 million won or more. In addition to Lee Hye-seong, many entertainers belong to it, including Yoona, Hyeri, IU, Suzy, Yim Siwan and Seolhyun.
Meanwhile, Lee Hye-seong was a public broadcaster recruit announcer in KBS's 43rd class but resigned in May 2020. She appeared on the recently concluded MBN baking survival show 'Cheonhajeppang: Bake Your Dream' and advanced to the top 10.
