Singer Kim Sang-hyuk, formerly of the group Click-B, mentions his ex-wife five years after their divorce. He also described himself about a past drunk driving incident as "one who has sold his conscience," raising further curiosity.
On the 7th, a teaser for "first-generation idol status Olympics" was released on Jang Seongkyu's YouTube channel Manlilangseonggyu.
This content combines "conscience refrigerator" and "status Olympics," and Kim Sang-hyuk, who is also known as an elementary school classmate of Jang Seongkyu, appeared.
Jang Seongkyu directly asked about Kim Sang-hyuk's appearance, "Did you know what this was when you came out?" In response, Kim Sang-hyuk said cautiously, "A program that runs a conscience campaign.. but whether I should appear is a bit.. as one who has sold his conscience once," drawing attention.
Then Jang Seongkyu asked, "How have you been?" and began to mention Kim Sang-hyuk's past. He referred to Kim Sang-hyuk's remark during the drunk driving controversy that "I drank but did not drive drunk," asking, "What does this mean, isn't there some hidden meaning?"
He also mentioned in succession Kim Sang-hyuk's past, saying, "I also had meals with your sister-in-law," and "Was what you owned at the time a 64-pyeong property?" Still, Jang Seongkyu asked, "But is it okay to talk about this on the show?" and Kim Sang-hyuk said in disbelief, "You said even more," drawing astonishment.
Kim Sang-hyuk spent a long time in seclusion because of the past drunk driving controversy. In 2019 he married Song Da-ye, a former shopping mall CEO, but they divorced in 2020 after 1 year and 4 months. He later said on several variety shows that he "has the intention to remarry."
Last year Kim Sang-hyuk appeared on the KBS 2TV variety show Mr. House Husband and confessed that his mother's boyfriend swindled him of about 2.3 billion won in damages.
Interest is growing over whether Kim Sang-hyuk will openly discuss past controversies and his private life with his friend Jang Seongkyu.
