Vocalist Soyou (SOYOU) returns with her third EP.
On the 8th, Soyou surprised fans by releasing a sensuous teaser image for her third EP, Off Hours (오프 아워스), on her agency Magic Strawberry Sound's official social media channels and announced it will be released at 6 p.m. on the 29th.
The released teaser image naturally blends the album title "Off Hours" into everyday spaces, capturing moments away from the busy flow. Placing the phrase "Off Hours" consistently across different scenes— a bag hanging on a coat rack, a receipt on a café table, writing left on a windowpane, book titles— the images convey the leisure found in private time.
In particular, this new release comes about nine months after last year's digital single "PDA." Through "PDA," released after joining Magic Strawberry Sound, Soyou showcased not only a cool and hip charm but also a distinctly different musical color; her voice creates an atmosphere, and expectations are rising about what stories Soyou will tell with her third EP, "Off Hours."
Meanwhile, Soyou recently drew attention for dieting and what was called a very thin, bony figure.
Even after appearing on the YouTube show "Zzanbro," she was swept up in plastic surgery suspicions because of her changed appearance, but Soyou denied that and said she lost 20 kg. She said, "Everyone thinks I lost 10 kg, but I actually hit 48 kg, so I lost 20 kg. That's why my face shape changed," and confessed, "I didn't say 68 kg because I was too ashamed of myself to say it," drawing attention.
