Actor Sunwoo Yong-yeo revealed the tumultuous details of a fraud she experienced over 2,200 pyeong of prime land in Gangnam.
On the afternoon of the 8th, a video titled "50 years later, price rose 1,000-fold: first reveal of Sunwoo Yong-yeo's Cheongdam building (+bone health age)" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Sunpoong Sunwoo Yong-yeo'.
Visiting Cheongdam-dong, Sunwoo Yong-yeo recalled her special ties to this area from the past. Sunwoo Yong-yeo said "In the past, while living in Banpo APT. I missed having a house with a yard, so I bought a 99-pyeong plot here," adding "A single 27-pyeong house was crowded with as many as 10 family members, including my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, and my brother-in-law," which surprised listeners.
But the truly astonishing story came next. When the production team lamented, "You should have bought more Gangnam land then," Sunwoo Yong-yeo dropped a bombshell: "Actually, I bought 2,200 pyeong of land where the current Gangnam courthouse stands."
She said she was tempted by an offer that said they would give her the land if she paid only the interim payment: "My husband strongly opposed buying it, but I secretly deposited the interim payment," she confessed. After sending the money, contact was cut off, and only after her husband checked the contract did they realize it was a classic planned real estate scam.
In the end, to catch the fraudsters, Sunwoo Yong-yeo and her husband raided the site and encountered an unexpected figure there. About 100 victims had gathered at the scene, and among them was actress Eom Aeng-ran. Sunwoo Yong-yeo said, "When we went to catch the fraudsters, Eom Aeng-ran was there too," recounting the absurd situation that had everyone at the scene laughing.
