S.E.E.YA's Nam Gyu-ri confessed a past blind date anecdote.
On the 8th, the YouTube channel "YouTube Hajiyoung" uploaded a video titled "Nam Gyu-ri confession "I've caught the disease of being bad at blind dates" S.E.E.YA's first public reveal of romance exploded!"
In the video, Nam Gyu-ri said she prefers 'jamanchu' (seeking natural meetings) and recounted a past blind date anecdote. She recalled, "I was hurt by a blind date long ago. After I broke up with my first love, I sat down crying on the street, couldn't eat, and was like someone with expressive aphasia, so (an acquaintance) told me to come out and we went to a coffee shop."
She continued, "That person wasn't there and some man called out. When he asked, 'Hanni?' he said she wasn't there. Actually, that sister had prepared the blind date as a surprise," she explained.
At the time, still not over it, Nam Gyu-ri cried endlessly at the blind date. Nam Gyu-ri said, "Hearing that, I burst into tears and said, 'I'm sorry but I can't be at a gathering like this. I still have someone I love,' and I stood up, but he grabbed me."
Lee Bo-ram excitedly said, "Did he fall for you more? 'I'll wipe those tears for you now,' that's it," and the scene was devastated.
Nam Gyu-ri said, "So I cried for about an hour and they kept bringing me tissues and told me to say what was inside. I was talking without realizing it when someone asked, 'May I know the name of that person?'"
It turned out the blind date man and her ex-boyfriend knew each other. Nam Gyu-ri said, "Even before I broke up with him, I already..." After that the conversation was bleeped out and she revealed, "Because of that shock, I can't go on blind dates anymore," arousing curiosity.
Nam Gyu-ri said, "When I broke up with my first love I told him this. He said he had to support his family now, but he loved me so much that if he stayed with me he would want to be with only me and it wouldn't work, so we broke up."
While everyone was bewildered by the reason for the breakup, Nam Gyu-ri said, "At that time I said, 'Even if you want to forget me, I will become a singer you can never forget. My songs will ring out in the world so you will be unable to forget even if you want to. Let's meet again,'" she revealed. She added that she actually debuted as a singer a year later and her ex-boyfriend contacted her, prompting Ha Ji-young and the members to jeer, "What is that?"
