Actor Nana is showing chameleonlike facets that change with each appearance in "Climax."
"Climax" is a work that depicts the desires and choices of characters within a power cartel vying for the top position in Korea. Nana plays Hwang Jeong-won, a character who moves secretly by the side of Bang Tae-seop (Ju Jihoon) and provides information, delivering a three-dimensional performance.
In episodes 7 and 8 of "Climax," released on March 6 and 7, the newcomer Hwang Jeong-won, who appeared as a rookie actress, met Cha Sang-a (Ha Jiwon) on the same project, and the subtly altered relationship between the two characters was revealed in earnest. Scenes in which Jeong-won and Sang-a exchange emotions in the script they film together and candid one-on-one scenes continued, creating a tension as if Jeong-won and Sang-a actually touched, and the precarious atmosphere between the two was maximized.
After filming, Jeong-won confessed to Sang-a that "I went to kill Park Jae-sang" at the scene of Park Jae-sang's murder, but it was revealed that Jeong-won, simply for being at the scene, was caught by Lee Yang-mi (Cha Joo-young) and framed and used, raising the complexity of the character's narrative.
Nana overwhelmed attention with detailed acting while not overly displaying emotions amid a complex situation of being manipulated by power. While she shows a cold attitude toward Sang-a, she also densely portrayed moments when wavering emotions intersect, completing the character's position as someone whose allegiance cannot be easily determined.
Starting with young Jeong-won with a shocking past, to broker Hwang Jeong-won and rookie actress Hwang Jeong-won, she passionately acted with faces that change in every scene, varying the character's rich textures. More than the sensationalism of the radical same-sex kiss scene with Ha Jiwon, what carries the weight and traction is Nana's acting. The changes in Hwang Jeong-won, who sits as a person who shakes the board, gain further persuasiveness through Nana's detailed acting.
Nana also ranked in the top three among the top 10 drama search issue keywords for the fourth week of March 2026 released by Good Data.
Meanwhile, "Climax" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on ENA and is also available on KT Jini TV and Disney+. The final episode will air on the 14th.
